Who is

Philip Lord?

By profession I am a qualified chef but due to a medical accident I had two strokes and I am now disabled and unable to work.

I always wanted to be a chef from childhood as a result of sitting in the kitchen whilst Mum baked and I licked out the bowls for her! 

Not a bad cook, my Mum, even though we cannot work together as we  never see eye to eye on methods and ingredients.

So off I went to college with my little wooden spoon and paper hat, and after a lot of hard work I became a chef and worked at several hotels and restaurants.

When you are at Catering College nobody Tells you about the long hours, the split shifts and the lousy pay, but perhaps I missed that chapter in the book!
